I have been playing online and having no luck, what i mean is i choose my game, player, etc and we start the game. it never fails, i start having a good game example interceptions and safeties and my opponet quits, so i either forfeit or continue against the computer, im trying to get into online gaming but some players are either cheesy or poor sports.

I'm like the exception that proves having a good friends list is the rule... I have been playing random folks since November '02. Needless to say, I deal with my fair share of quitters. Although I finish what I start, most people don't. My record looks terrible... but only because I won't finish against the CPU unless I'm up HUGE in the 4th.
I noticed you are a SIM player in your profile so the best way to get good, honorable competition is to become a member of a club of some type. There are alot of them around. But it's still not a guarantee that you'll find someone that won't bug out on ya.
My mechanism for coping with quitters is WANTING them to quit. Personally, making someone quit is better than winning. A win is just a win. But when you beat someone into submission it's much more satisfying... LOL. I know, I'm a rebel. But it work for me. Mind you my record STINKS because I don't get credit for most of my wins. Good thing we don't all play for the record.
Don't be discouraged, there are plenty of honorable players around. Many are members of MMP and we get more joining everyday.

It definitely helps to build up a solid list of people to play against. If you start adding people to your friends list after having a good experience playing them online, after a while you'll have a good network of people to play against whenever you hop on.

I feel your pain that's why I created a site like Madden Wars (http://www.maddenwars.com). It's a place where str8/sim ballers who are tired of the quitters, glitchers, or cheesey players go to find real competition. A very competitive group of guys who won't cheat you to win. Stop by sometime. At the same time, that's why I created this place also. You can find players your age. I know there is nothing worse than finding a game with a potty mouth lil kid, who is going to quit after 1 quarter when his favorite play doesn't work. There are other Madden Community sites out there also. Madden Communities like MMP and Madden Wars make playing online enjoyable.
