(PastaPadre.com) The next roster update for Madden 10 is nearing with its release slated for January 8th just in time for Wild Card Weekend. With the regular season nearing an end some players seem to be shutting it down while others are stepping up or seizing opportunities.

Matt Moore has performed admirably for the Panthers which goes to show even more how Jake Delhomme was overrated in the game through the season. Moore deserves a decent boost based on his six TDs in the past two games while avoiding throwing an INT and currently has just a 64 rating. The Broncos have gone 2-7 in their last nine games but Elvis Dumervil has continued to produce and has earned higher than the 91 rating he has. He set the team record for sacks in a season with 17 and leads the league in the category.

ZFarls from MaddenBible.com has written a nice article about the mindset of a player when he goes into a game against an opponent.  He gives details about what he personally is thinking and how confidence plays a big factor.

… Take a second to think about these questions and then see how they effect your Madden game.

If you go into a game against a level 6, what are you thinking? Are you confident you can win?

If you go into the game against a level 18 what are you thinking?  Are you scared that he is out of your league?

Do you have the same strategies against both players? Are you more nervous against one or the other?

Here is a small chart revealing my thoughts when I head into a game.  If I am in a downspell and had a few unlucky games I can quickly get into the lacks confidence side.  It is very dangerous, however if I just play MY game and know what I am trying to accomplish, it gives me the best chance to win.

TheSportsGameGuy.com breaks down the new news from NCAA 10 about the new DLC.  The article gives great detail about the things you can get from this down-loadable content.  Some of the things you get I believe can be easily achieved without having to pay for it, but I guess it’s for those who don’t want to put in the work to get a 5-star recruit.

Posted on the official NCAA 10 website is a rundown with details of all the DLC content available for the game.   I’m very happy that the team decided to put the patch in that a commish could disable these for Online Dynasty.   So do remember that some Dynasties won’t allow you to use the content below but you are free to use it in your own Dyansties.  Click “Read more” below to see the details.

Recruiting Advisor: In Dynasty Mode each week your Recruiting Advisor will bring useful information to your attention.

While playing in Dynasty Mode (Offline or Online) your Recruiting Advisor will bring you one of the following four items every week. Information on Recruits that you can add to your Recruiting Board that you may have not known they were interested. Hints on the top Pitches for some of the Recruits on your Recruiting Board. Hints on which Prospects on your Recruiting Board are willing to listen to your pitches more than other weeks. Inside information on which Recruits will sign to your school instantly. This will affect every team you control in Dynasty Mode and Online Dynasty Mode.

Coaching Seminar: In Dynasty Mode this item will improve the recruiting of your Coach and help you convince players to stay in school.

If you own the Coaching Seminar in Dynasty mode you will be able to gain the maximum chance to keep players from leaving your school in Off-Season Recruiting. Players staying are normally influenced by your Coach Integrity, with this item you will always have the highest chance of keeping players at your school. Also this will add to the Coach Experience and Coach Prestige by one level; for example if you Coach Experience was Very High it will become Excellent. This will affect every team you control in Dynasty Mode and Online Dynasty Mode.
